My friends and I had a fantastic time! We solved 8 of the puzzles, but lost focus around lunch time. We had no regrets about playing. Loved our experience. It was very fun, but we didn’t have the attention span to make it through all 12 puzzles.

We had a lot of fun. But not at first. It took us a couple of stops to get the feel of the game and how stuff worked. By the end, it was a blast.

We got our steps in for the day, lol. The puzzles were good (a few were tough!) and we ended up working with other teams on some of them. We want to do it again!"

There was an alert by the horse that drove us nuts, but we eventually found all of the spots. We're looking at doing the other events.

Fun time. Did it for a friend's birthday. We didn't win, but it was still a good time. Wear good shoes!

We had a lot of fun, but things got a little tense on a few parts. Guessed at times. All good! Would do it again.

There was a lot of info to take in when we started. Once we got the flow of it we picked up speed. It was pretty good.

The tasks were challenging and the story quite long. Not to say we didn't have fun but these puzzles were not for kids. I would consider doing this again if there was a map of some sort as well. It was difficult to stumble upon the places we needed to be in order to complete the tasks. Some of our phones would find a spot, others did not. Kudos to the team that won! It's not easy, nor should it be with a fabulous cash prize.

This was different than escape rooms we've done, but that's what was fun. We had done another outdoor event before (not this one) and it was really disappointing. The puzzles for this one were great. Glad we brought a notebook!

We may not have won, but it was a great day exploring and puzzling around the Sacramento Waterfront. We found a dozen restaurants and stores that we wouldn't have known were there from walking all over the area. The puzzles were distinct from each other, and while challenging didn't feel overwhelming. Still looking to figure out what the final solution to the mystery was!

4 stars because of bugs. We had to redownload the app to start the game, and the scanner function was very unreliable in picking up the puzzle locations. At least 1 puzzle had an error in it, the input method didn't accept lowercase and in some cases (such as the puzzle solution) it was unclear what format the answer should be entered in (e.g. with/out hyphens). It might have been my wrong assumption, but I misunderstood at the start of the game that the case file clues did NOT indicate where the next clue was, and that you simply had to wander around to find them.
